What are you saving them for?
I’m so guilty of this. I have an obsession with buying treats for the dogs. But sometimes I find myself “saving” the good treats for a special occasion. I have no idea why I do this and can only assume it’s genetic and related to my mother only keeping the good plates for guests!!
Those treats you bought are for your dog!! Use them for those jackpot rewards. When they come back from playing with another dog, when they ignore the chicken bone on the street, etc.
Our dogs deserve to be “paid” for a job well done so use the “good treats” for when your dog is being brilliant.
They deserve it.
