Being “famous” on Instagram/TikTok/facebook does not actually mean that someone knows what they are doing when it comes to dog training. Having a high follower count on any social media platform just means that the person is good at social media- it has no relevance to their skill with animals.
When picking a professional to work with or take advice from, please do more than look at their follower count.
While there are many amazing trainers with big accounts, the majority of the “insta famous trainers” or “TikTok stars” have nothing more than filters, viral editing styles and smart transitions as their qualifications.
Always ask questions about their training methods, ethics, what books they read, who they studied with etc with anyone you want to work with.
